Be Divine- Pick one of 252 ways ( Shree Mahaprabhji 252 Vaishnavas)

1 Nagaji Bhatt

He refused to accept money from a fellow devotee for his wedding, instead taking it to the Guru. He was instructed to stay with a lower caste devotee on his way there. He sadly did not eat. When he reached the guru, he was made to realise his mistake and then returned to the lower-caste devotee and ate there. Guru was pleased. He brought wonderful cloth and mangoes to the Guru. The guru loved him.

Do not judge anyone by their social standing- but by their devotion

Offer the best

2  Krishna Bhatt

He and his friend wanted to see the milk in govardhana lake- they did

They wanted to see Govardhana Hill covered in precious stones- they did with the grace of the guru

He would not touch Shri Nathji's feet. Shri Nathji asked why not. "I am not worthy" was the answer.

Shri Nathji lifted his foot so Krishna Bhatt would touch it. He also touched the Gurus feet

He was given a divine view of Gopi Lila with the grace of the Guru

He would secretly add a large sum of money to his devotee visitors

"How do we know we have pleased Shree Krishna?" someone asked

Following principles set out by SHree Mahaprabhuji?

By pleasing Swaminiji, i.e., Radhaji?

Krishna Bhatt added, "By pleasing the gopis who serve Shri Krishna and Shree Swaminiji". "Remain humble", he added

Once summoned by the Guru, he left for Gokul, but his deity, Krishna, kept wanting him back. Krishna Bhatt explained why he was going. Such a delightful encounter

He had a visitor, and they got so immersed in bliss via singing and reading holy books. The joy is for everyone

Some devotees wanted to see the Ras Lila, the full moon dance. Krishna Bhatt could organise it, and it was beautiful. Others tried to reenact without him, but it did not work- a divine devotee's presence creates this bliss

He once celebrated Holi, the festival of colour, one day early. The Guru had a vision of this, although Shri Nathji happily played. Guru got Krishna Bhatt a calendar

He and another devotee got so lost in the praying that they forgot all time. Guru had to send out for them

He instructed devotees on Subodhini- they could not understand before because they were too attached to the authority of the guru- so they could not get that divine loving feel

The scents are their presence

The words from devotees asking for food are his

Guru does all the rites, which means devotees are protected

Spending time with raised souls is so beautiful

Subodhini is magical

Being lost in Bliss for many days is a gift

The god becomes goddess, the goddess becomes god

The Goddess is so loving

It is not mantras but your devotion that is relevant and gorgeous

TRUE BEAUTY AWAITS

You could be in a temple when you think you are not

3 Chachaji

Whenever some devotees walk, there is beauty. They can even walk on water

Be radiant like the sun, the moon, and  all happiness is yours now

This is the path of grace

Wherever Chachaji went, he created beauty

He initiated tribal people- and told them not to eat garlic, carrots, onions or radish

Learned that Shri Nathji is a child, so not to exert him too much

Even Guru saw lost towns where Chachaji had not been- there was no beauty there

Chachaji only saw the guru, even when drinking from the impure vessels of devotees

He would lose himself in bliss

He was taught to stick to all temple timings correctly as Shri Nathji is a child and when woken up at right time is mentally sharp

His gaze followed his guru so he could get true visions

The guru worried about an insect bite Chachaji got

He was the pupil in Gurus eye- when Chachaji got hurt, the gurus eye pained

The guru saw Chachajis death- he sees all

Chachaji could walk on water

Even when asleep the holy names came from each pore of his body

He enjoyed Ras Lila

He was invited to the most secretive prayer meetings with the sons of the guru

4 Muraridas

Muraridas worked for Narayandas but requesteed lower wages in exchange for more hours at home. Here, he did a perfect seva secretly, even offering fruit at lunchtime like the tribal women

He was an accomplished worker

His boss followed him....His boss had to show humility before Muraridas showed him the service he did

The guru authorised Muraridas to initiate his boss.

But they became fellow devotees and respectfully said " Jai Shree Krishna" to each other with folded hands

A devotee can initiate another, but with the guru's authority

If you have true love and are accepted, you do not need to bathe

Garlic, onions, radishes and carrots are not recommended

5 Narayandas

Reborn due to a small fault in the previous life

So much beauty in Bhakti yoga. Arrogance can be an obstruction- remember goddessgod provides everything

Nrayandas used to go mad missing the guru cured only by water sprinkled from deity feet

His wife was so beautiful that betel juice going down her throat could be seen

He would rush into water if he saw Guru. He had to be calmed

He even got the local Muslim ruler to meet Guru- the ruler devoted his all

However, when he said he would support the Guru's household, it was arrogance. Only Shree Krishna supports us all

And when you see true light, even the greatest of wealth does not disturb you- just do your job

6 Vithaldas Kayasta

He worked for Narayandas and went short of money in one account. He was imprisoned and whipped. But he did not reveal to Narayandas that he was a devotee

When Guru visited Vithaldas requested to see him - that's when Narayandas realised that he had whipped a devotee

He was ashamed

" Do not be cruel to anyone ever" were the guru's words

Vitaldas left town as he did not want any special favours from Narayandas

Be aware

Persevere

Know your refuge

No special favours

Always be kind to all

7 Rup Muraridas

Saw a million gods when he saw the guru

He kept offerings given to him by Guru AND MIXED IT WITH HIS OWN FOOD EACH DAY - SPECIAL PRIVILEGES TO SEE SHRI NATHJI EACH DAY WERE HIS

Be with them always- offerings of food, in sleep, in  life

8 MADHAVADAS

Lived in Kabul but saw Shri Nathi every day. He waved his shawl in the afternoon aarti

His description of the ornamentation matched what the head priest advised

There is no time or space- you will see them

9 Haraji Kothari

Shree Krishna has more than 1000 names. This poem was written by Shree Haraji

10 Bhaila Kothari

The guru rushed to him without telling anyone

Bhaila was just immersed in the Guru. Even his debts did not trouble him

Someone complained to Perisian ruler of the guru

The guru talked to ruler in Persian and told him rains are coming. He also gave a betel nut which the ruler kept in his turban. The Ruler was enchanted by his presence.

The person who complained about Guru was also spared at Gurus request

.

11 Gopaldas

Mute in this life as had troubled Shree Krishna with too many requests in previous life

He was seen as an ocean by the Guru. He ate some betel nut from Guru and statretd speaking again- He wrote many songs

Guru intentions you will never know- poverty keeps one pure

12 Manika Chand

His wife saw Krishna in Guru so did he

They offered everything to the guru and followed him

But Guru requested they return home and gave them capital to start a new business

In the path of grace one offers everything- whatever the guru gives is seen a a divine gift

Guru even missed his own sons wedding to be at Manika Chand son's wedding

Do not make too many requests for anything, or may become mute- but Gurus grace oceans will then flow from you

13 A Bengali Brahmin

A textile merchant, he offered his all to the guru- all cloths going to Shri Nathji first. Second cloth the guru also got an outfit....While the Brahmin wanted his wife to get serious with devotion she was not ready- never reveal all to worldly persons- let them request first

Shree Nathji accepted even offerings made to Brahmins deceased father....because he looks at your LOVE

But Shri Nathji was still hungry when he returned to the temple. Because his temple version had missed lunch while he consumed the offerings from the Brahmin

The stories of the lord are fab

In the path of Grace, there are no laws- only love

14 Ganesh Vyas

He purified a temple and made the local Goddess vegetarian

He loved getting scolded by the guru

When he passed then guru said," There will be no one like Ganesh Vyas. He saw everything as a lesson"

Enjoy the guru's anger. Even gods and goddesses can  be purified by devotees

15 Haridas

He was devout, but getting ready

He became unconscious on the strength of listening to Bhagvad

He touched the Guru's money. Guru discouraged

Was to wash the guru's shawl and forgot as he was busy talking to a woman. Guru corrected, and Haridas never talked to another woman

Slowly, the Gurus' grace perfected him

There is nectar in the Bhagavatam. Maintain your focus. Don't interfere with anyone

16 Madhusudandas

You will get addicted to bliss. Never use Guru's money

even indirectly through his kitchen or servants

Madhusudandas was given the task of preparing Shri Nathji's betel nut, also fanning in the hot months. Madhusudandas could do it in his sleep

17 Rup Chandananda

Two dear friends from a previous life

I can do a better job than that devotee collecting donations said one devotee

The guru read this and said, " In this world of great hypocricy Krishna is my only refuge"

The proud devotee asked why this was said. The other devotee is collecting for Shri Krishna- a lesson about pride

Rups family were not devotess so guru did not stay there. Rup went to see guru but did not go in knowing that guru would come and see him. When the guru asked why Rup did not pop into other house as he looked upset- Rup said " I was not there but my home was"- sounded hurt but  Guru could not give real reason.

Guru was given a horse covered in satin by Rup to take guru to temple

18 Madhoudas

Was enchanted by Guru but his father was not. So he he had to move out but he remained a strict devotee

When his parents became old they went in search of a pilgrimage- they met Shree Gusaiji and were enchanted too. They then did not see a need for a pilgrimage- they realised that through their son they were elevated. They expressed love for their son and his bringing good vibes to family

A son rejcted as he worshipped Goddess. But when Parents grew old they saw the light. They realised the good association of their son

19 A Father and Son

They too were around during Krishnas life but had forgotten

When they met the Guru they were elevated

They were imprisoned but still sent their money to Guru which was the sons wish

Guru sent a promisoory note to save them- but they lost it on purpose so as not to burden their guru

Their stories reached other devotees and the Emperor- they were immediately freed- shows the positive power of belief and devotion to Guru

Have faith in Guru- do not use Gurus money

20 Two Patel Brothers

Also from time of Krishnas life

The younger one  was so particular in his service of the cows and often forgot to take his meals. Then even Shri Nathji appeared to him and offered his sweet balls. When Guru heard this he was so pleased. Food was then delivered to him if he missed out

He could not pronounce the Gurus name so just called him Uncle- the guru also called him nephew out of love

In the rainy season, he was so busy cleaning the cowpen that he would refuse to go and eat- then Shree Nathji brought him food in silver utensils

When the Guru found these in the cowpen, he was delighted with the play

Shree Nathji brought food for him

He was asked to go see the guru. He did not go, but when told, the guru himself requested to see him, he rushed

His new job was as a doorman to temple...He saw Shrinathji go out, followed by many women. He tried to stop them, but was given an ornament to give to the Guru if there was a problem. He followed Shrinathji and the surprising number of women who came out. He watched them dance and collected all the ornaments. When returning the ornaments to the Guru, he was told to leave a door open for Shrinathji and never to follow him...such is bliss

Cow service is divine

Keep your mind simple, and you will get all rewards...Story of a simple boy calling Guru uncle- kept cowpens clean- he also became a guard- retrieved all ornaments from Ras Lilla...door at temple is left open to give access to goddessgods

21 A Poor Patel

"You need to have a body  to serve", even though you are entitled to Bliss

He had nothing and followed devotees to a pilgrimage

He would eat only if he was offered

However, to meet the guru, he had to have a gift. After exchanging a small cloth, he picked the most magical jasmine and made a garland

The guru saw the vision and rushed out on his horse, passing the other devotees who were on horse carts and reaching the poor walking Patel at the back

Make gifts earnestly, and you will be honoured

22 A Renounced disciple

Had nothing and wandered around

On the day of Holi, he forgot to make a special feast, so he offered the same food four times, imagining the different specialness in each serving and swinging his idol

Guru was so pleased because he had asked, "You have nothing, so where will you keep your Krishna?" and the disciple had repled " But ask my idol...is he happy?"

You may not have anything, but make each second beautiful

23 A Brahmin Renunciate

He was devout and circled Mt Govardhana each day

Guru never spoke to him though

He would also make offerings to the flag at top of temple

He then decided to sweep the path to remove any tiniest of obstruction. On this path walked which Shree Krishna walked each day. He was also thinking of the guru too as he used the same path

The guru spoke to him that day and lovingly added

" Today you did something not for your self but for SHree Krishna"

Make an offering each day- listen to his stories each day

24 Krishnadas

He helped devotees by giving them work, loans or whatever they needed...Went in to debt and was imprisioned. He secretly burned all devotee promisory notes so they would not be harrased

The Emperor was touched and freed him

WHen the guru lost his wife he felt his anguish and wanted to leave the world. His breath left him.

25 Janardas and Gopaldas

two friends who offered all they had to the Guru

Their work boss loved them and knew he was well off due to their good deeds

Shower all you have- you will shine with grace

26 Haridas Baniya

A single good person anywhere can start the change

Haridas was arrested but saved by the Kings sister who is a devotee

Guru started avoiding the town

Haridas pleaed and the Guru came to the town. The king was relieved and happy

27 Manika Chanda and his wife

She was married to non devotees and stopped eating and drinking

After 3 days she negotiated to fetch her water by herself and cook for all the family with no intereference

There was another devotee in town who greeted her with " Jai Shree Krishna". He would visit her to keep her safe....Once he forgot, and she did not eat. This impressed her family, who now all wanted initiation via devotee and got it in the presence of a letter from the guru

But her Krishna only loved her cooking

By accident, her father met her husband but did not recognise him

With " Jai Shree Krishna", the connection was made

When Manika greeted the Krishna, her father brought with her mother she asked the deity, " Why did all this happen?"

But she knew the answer, as so many were now connected with Guru because of her focus

28 A Nagar Brahmin

He was surrounded by non-believers. The guru asked him to bathe Mt Govardhana with milk. THIS FIXES ALL PROBLEMS

He did this - the local Brahmins refused to budge- but Mt Govardhana showed all the devas bowing to him

Problems are solved

29 A Sanyara Brahmin

Shree Yamunaji will bless you with self-realisation

He would never bathe or use her holy water

Some people tricked him by leaving him stranded on the other shore. He was in distress- Shree Yamunaji produced a lotus in which he could sit and cross. The tricksters were amazed

30 A Rajputa

so distressed on the Guru's passing, he went into the Himalayas....The Guru appeared to him and said he would appear to him every day. He got composure and returned home

31 Seths daughter

Deeply unhappy, surrounded by a barbarian family

She was advised to poison her husband, and a devotee revived him, turning the family to goodness

Why poison?. In a previous life, as her father he had poisoned her to avoid a dowry. SO Karma had to be finished before life could move on....all so magical

32 A Potter

Borrowed to feed a devotee- Was trapped in a well, and a devotee rescued him

His wife hated him for offering everything to other devotees. She left him for another man

In a famine, they returned to the potter- he offered them offerings but could not take her back

33 Govindadas

A dancer in a previous life. And worldly in this life, mixing with dancers and prostitutes- but meeting the Guru changed him

And danced in front of Shree Nathji

One night, the Guru was away, and he danced so much that he broke his ankle bells. Shree Nathji gave him his. But they forgot to eat or drink

Guru, on his return, asked why no meals. Shree Nathji said, " I am really enjoying myself"

34 The Gujarati Brahmin

On meeting Guru, he went to Braja and then requested service

They went to select a deity. But the Brahmin wanted the bangles off and was going to leave the idol in the shop

A boy appeared and asked the guru why his bangles were taken off. As the Guru had glanced at the idol, it had come alive- the Brahmin took the idol straightaway. The power of a Guru's glance

35 A Sanoriya Braja Brahmin

He poisoned his sister and took her wealth. He thus became a snake. When the guru was visiting, drops of water from near Gurus feet fell into this snake hole, and the snake remembered his sins and was liberated.

In a past life, he was a friend of Krishna's mother and helped her in the story of the rope tying up little Shree Krishna

36 A Mother, Son and daughter-in-law

A simple girl, the daughter-in-law. She was asked to repeat everything the Guru said. When he said " Come and sit down", she repeated it. She was simple

After initiation, she helped in service. She was asked to adorn Shree Krishna when her mother-in-law was out.

She adorned him 8 times- finally, he smiled- Krishna likes passion hence - the test- He then asked Mother-in-Law just to cook

He loved the young girl adorning him

37 Alikhan and his daughter Pirjadi

Alikhan's father converted. He looked after the trees of Braja as his job

He was strict - even Guru's people were only allowed to take 10 leaves only

Trees also are devotees and need to be loved - especially those in Braj

The daughter Pirjadi served Shree Krishna intensely- as a result, she saw the raas lila dance each night and participated. Her father got suspicious, thinking she was seeing a man- the music came on each night.

He spied on her, and when he saw her with the lord, he fainted

They both got initiation from Guru, although they already had visions- initiation helps to shower grace from Guru and Shree Krishna

They attended lessons with the guru, who would not start until they were there. Others were unhappy with this

SO Guru asked all to tell him what they remembered from the last lesson

Pirjadi was the only one who knew - she even knew all previous lessons

Alikhan offered a horse to Guru. which the Guru liked- the Guru did not accept the horse. From that day on, wherever Alikhan went, he got the horse to lead him, imagining that Guru was riding it

38 A Village Brahmin Woman

A sad woman, having lost all her relatives

Initiated even though others said she had loose morals

She was devout- but showed her Krishna to a worldly person who gave her extra land- she said, " You have given me everything" Her Krishna was not happy with this statement, as we rely on Shree Krishna for all

Krishna  left her

39 Mathuradas

He asked the guru, "Who is higher? You or your father?"

Guru went silent and replied," You are no longer my disciple"

Also avoided him

He misread the Guru's silence and felt renounced

Stopped eating and drinking

But luckily saw an elderly devotee who felt so blessed by his sudden arrival

When he explained the situation, she took him to see Guru. He cleared the misunderstanding. Once you are a devotee, you are never abandoned

40 The Son of a Vaishnava

Listened to the stories of Shri Krishna's young days

And just left for Braja holy land

Waiting to see Shri Krishna as described by the Guru

On his return, in bliss, he left his body

41 A poor Brahmin from Mathura

In his previous life was vain and came to the world as a poor Brahmin boy with leprosy

Saw the light when he ate food given to him by the Guru

Started praying to Shri Nathji who complained to Guru. Guru told him to visit a devotee who was living with a prostitute

When that devotee heard that the guru had remembered him, he lost his life. The leprosy devotee was cured, but he felt bad

However, at the temple, he saw the deceased devotee who was in his heavenly form. A spiritual happening

The Guru never abandons his devotees

42 A Bhakta from Mahavan

Was initiated and loved feeding devotees. One day, when no one turned up, he went in search. But killed a snake- the snake's wife vowed to take the devotee's life. As he was reciting Holy names all the time, she could not but she found him gossiping and thats when he lost his life

DO not be unkind to anyone

43 Sahukars wife

A muslim man saw her and would not leave her alone. He would starve if he did not see her

She and her husband decided to go on a pilgrimage but the man kept following her

When they reached the guru, he requested that the man be invited for a meal. As soon as he saw Guru, he left the world

Sahukar's wife had god in her eyes but was vain. She also left the world after overcoming this

They were husband and wife in a previous life. Devout. When the husband was away another male devotee came and Sahukar's wife prayed with him- but behind a locked door to keep utmost privacy

The husband on return misread the situation

For this lack of trust for a devotee he was reborn and the above story unfolded

44 Shyamdas

Loved his Guru- saw Shree Krishna as his wealth

Learned that flowers offered to Shree Krishna are the hearts of the devotees. He inquired why the piercing with needles occurs- "It is an indicator- it directs their hearts and minds to Shree Krishna", replied the guru

The flowers appeared in Shree Shyamdas dreams-

"You know its your last human life when you feel no separation from Shree Krishna". Shyamdas was such

45 Chajjo

A 55-year-old widow- devout- argumentative

Durgadas was exalted and had great manners

49 Purshottamdas

A simple, uneducated Brahmin, he saw the light

He also accompanied Guru to Jagannathpuri, where he offered the Guru Rice prasada- Guru used to accept from his wife- now also from devotees at this holy place

Guru asked him not to recite Bhagvad for money

He taught him never to accept gifts from Guru

Also showed him why Radha wears Navy Blue and Shree Krishna wears Gold- they cannot be away from each other so wear each other's hues

50 Laxshmidas Doshi

He once saw Guru accept money with his hand

He probably was the one who helped start the arrangement of leaving money at Guru's feet- it looks better

51 Dhyandas

Served with another called Jagannnathdas- who had a lotus in his hand, which meant whatever he touched would flourish and had a simple, kind heart who could not bear to see others suffering

Jagannathdas gave money from the guru to other poor folk

Dhyandas was critical of this

Guru asked, " Why are you judging others?"

52 Seth

He had opulent festivals and did not please Guru....celebrations should be done with humility and to please Shree Krishna

Guru sent 4 devotees to visit a couple in Agra who were so overjoyed. The husband forgot to take his turban off when serving the guests. The four devotees were critical of this. The couples Krishna was unhappy about this and woudl not let them see him- They thought even Krishna was unhappy with etiquette

They returned to Guru- meanwhile, the Agra couple started fasting as they felt they had hurt the 4 devotees

Guru was not pleased with the 4. In haste they returned to Agra to make apologies

The Agra couple also cleaned their temple too- Their Shree Krishna looked at the 4 angrily which meant they were forgiven

Keep the etiquette precise- and do not judge others. Whoever comes near Shree Krishna is special

53 Rajput

He got Guru's footprints on a cloth

One day guru got a popped wheat seed in his mouth. He asked an older Devotee to go see Rajput to see all is OK

The older devotee prepared his own meals and criticised the etiquette of Rajputs family

" You should feel a sense of belonging with other devotees- look at their love not their etiquette"

The Older Devotee got a lesson and so do we

54 Patel Kunabi

Shree Nathji cannot bear offences against his devotees

Pate Kunabi was travelling with rich Vaishnavas who would not give him a lift. Shree Nathji himself requested the Guru's chariot be sent

Patel Kanabi got to see the adorning of Shre Nathji- only close friends get this view

He fainted and was awakened by the cool water from the Guru's feet wash.

The selfish rich Devotees were only granted a one-afternoon look

They were agahast, and Kunabi Patel intervened for them, but the max stay they were allowed was three days

Be kind

55 Nila Chanda

Loved reading Shree Mahaparabhujis words esp Subodhini with Krishna Bhatt

They were robbed and thrown into a cell. They continued singing Lord Krishna's praises

The Mother of the chief, who was also a devotee, demanded their release and return of their goods

But Nila Chanda wanted all released and everyone's property returned

The Chief of the Robbers was touched by their devotion

58 Patho Gujari

On her way to her sons carrying curds and rice met Shri Nathji who wanted the lunch. She offered after making sure her sons would get something else from her house

Shri Nathji took her to his temple and ate there. The guru later saw the plate and unwashed hands.

But he knew that Patho was from Braj in her previous lives. People from Braj have  eternal priviledges

She said" You are a great god"

Even today, her descendants can enter temple anytime

59 Dhobi

In his previous life in lila he was asked to take Betel nut to one of the gopis who could not leave her home to see Shri Krishna

But she ate the betel and stained Shree Krishna's clothes

so she was reborn as Shree Nathji's male laundry person. But did the laundry very delicatley. The Guru, on seeing this gave him a boon. He wanted to come as a deity

Sme older devotees saw his temple( they should not have- in path of grace one should remain focussed on Shree NathjI)

The older devotee recognised the laundryman and as test, left some clothes in the temple

The older devotee and the king checked on the clothes- yes, all laundered, so confirming his recognition

But was also liberated by living in Shri Krishnas heart. This is the liberation for those who had to stay at home when ShrI Krishna was around. Lawful liberation is merging into Brahmas heart

Shree Krishna is alive. His life LILA continues. When down think of him in Braj- taking the cows, Yamunaji doing his aarti , him dancing, eating....

60 The Dhobi King

An older devotee asked the king who worshipped the washerman to take initiation but not to touch the washermans temple

A Shri Krishna temple was established by the king after initiation

The washerman also attended secretly- He later appeared in the King's dream and requested to be placed at the door of Shree Krishna temple. Also wanted his share of offering from the Shree Krishna temple, like everyone else

61 A Patel Boy and A Patavari Girl

They loved each other

She married someone else

62 A King from Gujarat

After initiation became very devout

But an entertainer was keen to show him his act and stopped eating

The king attended but paid no attention

But when the entertainer put on a devotee's dress the king became so generous

As the entertainer walked away a murdered cow, a murdered priest, a murdered woman, a murdered child followed him. These he had killed in a performance

The Karma, even if not physically stays is the lesson here

The entertainer too became a devotee

63 Bhavaiya

After initiation, the dancer from previous story lived in a house given to him by the king...they prayed together everyday

64 Kunabi

The touch of his dhoti cured a person of leprosy. Made stronger by rubbing the mud from under the Guru's feet. What a devotee can do.

65 Gangabai

Gopis who stayed indoors during Shree Krishna's life- had an amorous interest so could not see him. He immersed them into his heart

Gangabais mother had amorous interests in Guru- this is forbidden

But when she became humble, she did get pregnant with Gangabai via a dream with guru

Pregnancy can occur via semen, dreams, eggs and sweat

Gangabai was dearly loved and could talk directly to Shre Nathji- he even asked her to fetch lotuses for him- otherwise he threatened not to move

she wrote many poems

66 Raja Jotsingh

Worshipped a goddess. His priest was Shree Gusaiji devotee

Through this association the Raja became a devotee after he saw the goddess serving Shree Krishna

67 Prohit

Was earnest and yearned to see Shree Nathji image

His wish was granted and he became a devout devotee

He worked for a king whose fortune was shown as below

1st son hunter

2nd son a wood collector

Daughter a prostitute

This happened as the kingdom was taken over

Prohit who was loyal to the king trained these 3 to be demanding by asking for a lot for each

This was a test for the queen of fate who could not ignore him due to being an exalted devotee

She got tired of the interference and changed the fate of the 3 so they could return to the kingdom

They also then took initiation

68 An exalted Renunciate and an Ordinary Renunciate

The exalted left home and just kept wandering around holy places. When he met Guru, he was asked to recite Sanyasnirnarya- develop intense love for Shri Krishna

The ordinary renunciate wanted to join him. Guru made this happen

They got separated, and the ordinary one got infatuated with a cheap person

Dust from the feet of the exalted one entered the ordinary one's mouth and saved him

69 Kunjari, the fruit seller

A muslim and dying of thirst- she was offered water by the guru

"But won't the pitcher get impure?" said one of the devotees

A pitcher can be found, but not a life taught the Guru...

She was keen to get grace, so she started selling exotic fruits- half price to devotees and double price to non-devotees. But she ran out of money and gave up food and drink. She was initiated, and she showed such intense yearning

70 Hatita and Patita

Two demons were elevated just by the brightness of a devotee

Devotees do not have to fear anything

Two demons in a previous life had robbed a devotee's wife

After 500 years, they were remembered by Shri Krishna

They would have been initiated by Guru's image in heaven. This too is possible

71 Two Renunciates

They were married and had unhappy lives- they left their families and wandered until they met the guru who initiated them. One was super the other ordinary

They were invited to a devotee's house for dinner, but the super one found the Krishna there angry and the food full of insects

The ordinary one ate the food

The devotee they had visited had sold his daughter for money, so an impure person

Sadly, the ordinary devotee had to roam around as a beggar for a year and develop an intense feeling for Shri Krishna so that he would not repeat his mistake.

72 Nagar Brahmin

Nagar was a rich man and followed worldly pursuits. Through good association, he met Guru and was initiated

He collected water with another devotee each day

They passed a prostitute's house, Nagar stopped when he saw that the prostitutes daughter was a divine soul

After payment, he took her home, where he immersed her in devotion, and she sang Krishna's stories of the raas lila, the moonlight dance

Nagar's water carrier friend misunderstood and broke off the friendship; however, his Krishna deity got upset at him and threatened to leave.

Never misjudge a devotee's action

73 The prostitutes daugher

Shree Krishna is loved by the cows

After visiting Nagar, she would not respond to her mother and was declared insane

She visited Nagar every day. She served Krishsna and was initiated

In fact, she got so close to Krishna that Nagar scolded her/ Krishna scolded Nagar in return

74 Vaghaji Rajputa

Devout couple who only ate when they had provided food to a devotee

One day, Vagahji had to rush out for business

On the way, Krishna said I need some ghee- these rotis are very dry

He rushed back, closed his eyes and served the ghee. But he was in his work clothes

This was noted by the invited devotee, who ran off

Vaghaji and his wife fasted

The run-off devotee was warned by Krishna, " I will leave your house"

And it was all resolved

Lessons are

a Pay attention in your service

b don't misjudge others

c Where there is intense love, rules can be broken

75 Birbals Daughter

Was initiated by Guru

Her father, Birbal, had to find an answer to a question by the Emperor. "How do I find God?'

His daughter directed him to the Guru

The Emperor went in disguise to the Guru, but recognised

" You will find God as you have found me" was the deep answer

In other words, God will come to you directly if you have grace

As a gift, the Emperor maintained a horse for the Guru to travel any time he wanted

76 Poor Kunabi

Previously, Shree Krishna's parrot, whose nose reminds Shree Krishna of Radhaji

He was poor and made a garland of delicate flowers, but worried about them wilting

The Guru knew this and rode to meet Kunabi, so that he would not become distraught

77 Another Kunabi

A poor man and got the service of looking after Shree Nathji's cows

He did it meticulously

He therefore got sweet balls directly from Shree Nathji's hands

He heard a poem " Shree Krishna does a dance" He, however, repeated " Shree Krishna dances on the Grass"

Guru explained that both these interpretations are correct, as Kunabi saw SHree Dance with the cows on the grass every day

78 A Brahmin by the Ganga

They were a couple and lived in isolation by the Ganga. They only had enough food for one day

She washed every blade of grass carefully before she fed it to the cow

Making sure that the cow's milk would be as pure as possible

Another man came to stay with him. He had a stone that could give immense riches

This new man dreamt that the brahmin was going to die. The Brahmin himself dreamt that he died. That way, his Karma dissolved, and he did not physically die.

Devotees must remember that their feelings matter- so when serving Shree Krishna, think like the villagers did when Shri Krishna was alive

The new man could not understand or know that devotion is important

He therefore decided to give the riches-giving rock to the Brahmin who threw it in the river and showed that every rock around them would turn to gold when touched- the power of devotion

79 Gopinath Gwala

Looked after the cows. Shri Nathji visited him and others and gave them sweet balls- to set the routine that those who do any service for him should not go hungry

Shree Nathji asked Guru for foods and Guru rushed out in the intense heat

Gopinath was disturbed by this, but let the guru go

This was to teach Bopinath that special favours are a grace, also that Guru and Shri Nathji are the same

80 Two Kunabis

They

.......... had no money to make offerings, so worked but concealed their faith

However, they were discovered but did not seek special treatment and left their work. All their funds were offered to the guru in the service of Shri Nathji-

Never reveal true identity

81 Param Vaishnava

When asked what he did by the guru, his reply was all about spending time under a tree where he was initiated. The guru visited the tree, and the tree literally bowed

The tree was now elevated- it was a cowlad in Shree Krishna's realm and had returned to the earth as enjoyed worldly things

82 Godiya Brahmin

He left his home in Bengal and lived in the holy land of Vrindavan

Worked

Guru, however, advised him to hide his devotee identity. Better not to be treated generously because of that

83 Kshatrani from the East

She lost all her family to smallpox and wept all the time

Luckily, someone pointed to the Guru who advised that true happiness was in the service of Krishna

She did it beautifully, and Shri Krishna appeared as her son to her

One night, he complained about how some cats were frightening him. She commented that he had destroyed many demons in the past- why be afraid

The relationship changed- When you see Krishna as a child, do not confuse him with his other forms- he finally talked to her after a long time

84 A Virakata Bhakta

He was devout but also wanted to see Shree Ram

The Guru let him go

While the guru was alive, Gods like Ram could talk directly to devotees

When Bhakta saw Lord Ram, he turned his back and was covered in blisters like a leper

Bhakta cursed himself, " How could I leave the sight of Shri Nathji?"

On this thought, he turned normal agin showing that true one-direction devotion has immense power

Still, a poor guest was able to buy and offer some mangoes, and these were later resold to Sahukar, whose offering of these mangoes was rejected. Krishna had already enjoyed these.
