Each morning Bhupen Thakker’s aunt and uncle sing to the small statue of Krishna in their home, offering him food and garlands.

They taught Bhupen some of these sacred songs on a recent visit to Sydney and it’s brought Bhupen closer to his Indian heritage.

Bhupen performed his song for the Biennale of Sydney exhibition Our Songs-The Sydney Kabuki Project at The Centre for Contemporary Asian Art in Sydney’s Haymarket.
